How to recognize the device ?

The device itself

Currently the device is known as the integrated camera of Asus laptops. We have reason to believe that the device can also be as a standalone unit. Incase you own the Asus laptop with the device, it is the little circle above your screen, next to the integrated microphone.

Device capabilities

Accordingly to the market hype, 1.3 Mpixel image capture, the truth about it will probably evolve in the development process.
Audio capturing capability, the device has a recognizeable usb 'channel' for streaming audio.
Video streaming, if you ever booted windows up, you had a chance to test it.

We have located how the device is set up and in some ways controlled. Since all of this is just reverse engineering, we can't give really promise anything for certain, but the assumptions made by the current code are mostly successfull. If you want to see it for yourself, just grab the code and start reading, we're constantly updating it over the weeks to come and duplicating the changes to the web would be mostly waste of time.
